A meal in a glass formulated to provide a wide range of highly beneficial flavonoids.  Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants that help your body function efficiently, whilst helping protect it against damage from everyday toxins and stressors.🙌🏼⁣⁣
 ⁣⁣
This smoothie also contains antiaging nutrients, essential fatty acids, fibre and protein. 😋⁣⁣
 ⁣⁣
Ingredients for about 3 - 4 smoothies⁣⁣
🍓One cup of mixed berries⁣⁣
🍇About 8 red seedless grapes⁣⁣
🍌1 small banana⁣⁣
🥄Teaspoon chia seeds⁣⁣
🥣1 tablespoon porridge oats⁣⁣
🥄🥄2 tbsp. natural yoghurt⁣⁣
🥛400ml soy or nut milk of your choice⁣⁣
 ⁣⁣
Method:⁣⁣
🥤Add all the ingredients to a liquidiser and blend for about 30 seconds until smooth.⁣⁣
Drink as soon as possible after preparing to maximise the nutritional benefits.⁣⁣

Berries including raspberries, blueberries and strawberries are superfoods! They contain high levels of antiaging 👄antioxidants.  They support the immune system and have excellent anti-inflammatory properties.🙌🏼⁣⁣
Yoghurt contains protein and is especially beneficial for digestive health and the immune system.  Yoghurt is an excellent source of calcium, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.👏🏼⁣⁣
Chia seeds are a good source of omega 3 fatty acids, protein and fibre.  This powerful combination provides the body with many of the nutrients needed to optimise health and wellbeing.  The seeds are digested relatively slowly, providing a slow sustainable release of energy, helping keep blood sugar levels balanced.👌🏼⁣⁣
Oats are a good source of protein and complex carbohydrates.  They are rich in B vitamins needed for energy production.🏃🏽⁣⁣

🧄Creamy Parsnip and Garlic Soup🧄⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This seasonal soup is perfect for a chilly day and is one of my favourites!⁣⁣
Roasting the vegetables brings out a delicious nutty flavour and creamy texture.😋⁣⁣
Just a few simple ingredients to create a satisfying and nutritious meal.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Ingredients for about 4 - 5 servings:⁣⁣
🥕Parsnips - about 3 trimmed (not peeled) and cut into chunks.⁣⁣
🧅Onions – 2 peeled and roughly chopped⁣⁣
🧄Garlic – 2 – 3 cloves peeled⁣⁣
🌻2 tablespoons sunflower oil.⁣⁣
🌿Couple sprigs fresh rosemary⁣⁣
🍵Vegetable stock – about 1.2 litres⁣⁣
🧂Black pepper to taste.⁣⁣
Optional garnish – toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds and a drizzle of pumpkin seed oil⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Method:⁣⁣
⏲Preheat the oven to 180C.  Place the parsnips, onions, garlic and rosemary in a shallow tin.  Add the oil and coat the vegetables and herbs thoroughly.  Roast in the oven for about 25 minutes until the vegetables are a light golden brown, turning once halfway through cooking.⁣⁣
🌿Remove the rosemary sprigs from the tin.  Place the roasted vegetables in a large saucepan along with the hot vegetable stock.  The stock should just cover the vegetables.  Bring to a slow simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.⁣⁣
🍵Process with a handheld blender until smooth and adjust the seasoning to taste.⁣⁣
🍽Serve in warm bowls garnished with toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds and a drizzle of oil.⁣⁣

Parsnips are a rich source of fibre and contain a wide range of nutrients including the minerals calcium, magnesium and potassium.🙌🏼⁣⁣
Garlic has protective and anti-inflammatory properties.  It is a natural antibiotic and antiviral compound.👍🏻⁣⁣
Black pepper supports good digestion, has antioxidant properties and is antibacterial.👏🏼⁣⁣

This low GI smoothie is packed full of the essential nutrients you need to support your health and wellbeing. 🙌🏼⁣
Drink as soon as possible after preparing to maximise the nutritional benefits.🥑⁣

Ingredients for 2 smoothies:⁣
 ⁣
🥑1/2 ripe avocado pear – skin and stone removed and chopped⁣
🍌1/2 peeled banana⁣
🍇8 red grapes⁣
🌱Large handful of fresh baby spinach leaves⁣
🥄1 teaspoon turmeric powder⁣
🥛Soy or nut milk – about 400ml⁣
Method:⁣
 ⁣
🍵Place all the ingredients in a liquidiser and process until thoroughly blended and smooth.⁣
 ⁣
Adjust the amount of liquid to achieve the consistency you prefer.  This can depend on the ripeness of the banana and avocado pear. 🥑⁣

Nutrition Highlights:⁣
Avocado pears are a perfect food!  Easily digested and a good source of fibre. Rich in the amino acid tryptophan.  Colourful avocados contain a wide range of protective antioxidant vitamins, minerals and Essential Fats.  These essential nutrients also support a strong healthy immune system.  Avocados give this smoothie a wonderful creamy texture.🙌🏼⁣
Bananas contain good levels of energy producing B vitamins.👍🏻⁣
